Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Stocks & Commodities ("we", "us") collects when you use stocks-commodities.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and specific; if anything is unclear, ask us.

1. Who we are

Stocks & Commodities is operated from Israel. The data controller for the purposes of applicable privacy law is the operator of the Site, reachable at contact@stocks-commodities.com.

2. What we collect

• Information you give us. Your name, email address and message when you use the contact form, post a comment or subscribe to our newsletter.
• Technical information. Your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, referring page and time of visit, collected automatically through server logs and analytics.
• Cookies and similar technologies. Small files stored by your browser. See section 5.

We do not ask for, and you should never send us, financial account details, passwords or identity documents.

3. How we use it

• To run, secure and improve the Site, including caching and protection against abuse.
• To reply to your messages and moderate comments.
• To send the newsletter you subscribed to. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.
• To measure which content is read so we can publish more of what is useful.

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies), our legitimate interests (running and securing the Site, answering messages) and compliance with legal obligations.

4. Third-party services

• TradingView. Market quotes, charts, the economic calendar, news feeds, heatmaps and screeners on this Site are embedded from TradingView. When a page with these widgets loads, your browser connects to TradingView's servers and TradingView may set cookies and process your IP address under its own privacy policy.
• Hosting and caching. The Site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider that processes server logs on our behalf.
• Fonts. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when fonts are requested.
• Analytics and newsletter tools. If we use analytics or email-marketing services, they process data on our behalf under contract and are listed here when enabled.
• Broker and affiliate links. Some links lead to brokers and other partners. If you follow them, the partner's site governs what is collected there. We may receive a commission; see our disclaimer.

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies (for caching, security and remembering your preferences), and, with your consent where required, analytics cookies. Embedded TradingView widgets set their own cookies. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies; you can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the banner or by clearing cookies in your browser. Some widgets may not display if their cookies are blocked.

6. Retention

Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for up to two years afterwards. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes. Comments remain published until you ask us to remove them.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email contact@stocks-commodities.com and we will respond within the time required by law. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

8. International transfers

Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country, including in Israel, the European Union and the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA and the Israeli accessibility standard (IS 5568). The accessibility toolbar on every page lets you adjust text size, contrast, link highlighting and animations. If you encounter a barrier, email contact@stocks-commodities.com and we will address it. The accessibility toolbar stores your display preferences in your browser only.

10. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
