This is the format for a weekly briefing: three to five scheduled catalysts, what the market expects, and the levels that matter for the assets most exposed. Replace the bullets with the live week; the structure stays.

Scheduled catalysts

  • Central-bank decision: what is priced for this meeting and for the next one; the line in the statement that would surprise.
  • Inflation release: consensus for headline and core; the components the central bank has said it watches.
  • Earnings: the largest reports by index weight and the implied move the options market is pricing.
  • Supply: bond auctions and any large IPO or lock-up expiry.

Levels into the week

  • S&P 500: the 50-day average and the last swing low (see our analysis).
  • EUR/USD: the edges of the 20-day range.
  • Gold: the prior breakout level.
  • US 10-year yield: the recent high; a break there pressures long-duration equities.

Positioning note

Reduce size into the highest-impact release of the week and let the first fifteen-minute candle close before adding. Spreads widen, stops get hunted, and the cleaner move usually comes second.
